How can a nutritionist help me feel better?

Nutritional therapy can help you to find causes of health issues and improve health by healthy eating, sleep, healthy movement, stress coping. Why do I often feel tired?

Your energy depends on many factors, as your food, your sleep quality, stress level, blood sugar, and essential nutrients your body needs to produce energy, such as iron and vitamins B. These factors normally work together, and can make you feel steady all day, or tired and sleepy after 2pm. At your consultation I look at all these factors combined in your life and create your personal support plan, unique for you and based on your individual life and health.

Why do I wake up at 3am every night?

Feeling stressed all day, eating dinner too late, too hot or noisy room at night, caffeine and alcohol, especially if consumed late in the day can damage your sleep, making you wake up at night, often more than once. Hormones change in your 40's and blood sugar instability can make it even harder for you to fall asleep or wake you at night. Your night sleep starts when you wake up, meaning everything you do  during the day can make your next sleep better or worse. As a nutritional therapist can help you to sleep better and stop waking up at 3am with your personal sleep support plan.

Why do I gain belly fat?

Many women over 40 complain about belly fat problem. Hormonal changes in perimenopause, worsening blood sugar stability in menopause, high stress, emotional eating, bad night sleep and worsened cravings next day often make belly fat appearing faster. To tackle unwanted weight you need to find and tackle root causes of weight gain. As a nutritionist I can help you lose weight personal support plan.

How do I stop craving sugar and carbs so badly?

Sugar or carbs cravings (like pasta or bread) are very common in midlife. Naturally changing hormones in midlife, not sleeping well at night, busy life and no time to eat, chronic high stress from juggling life and work, unstable blood sugar all play a big part in your cravings. First step you can take in stopping your cravings is understanding what is fueling your cravings and working on it, nourishing your body. If you are fed up with craving and want to stop them, I will be happy to help. ðŸ‘‰  Click here to book your free call and take a first step towards making your day cravings-free

Why do my joints ache more in perimenopause?

Many women in 40's and 50's complain about joint aching, which is getting worse. Falling oestrogen level, chronic inflammation, low vitamin D can make joint pain worse. Improving joint health needs is not only about supplements. Healthy joints in perimenopause and menopause need a complex, personal support. As nutritional therapist I often work with other health professionals to help women to find possible root causes of joint pain and support joint health.

What foods I should avoid after 40?

As nutritionist working with women in UK I get asked this a lot. While most people without digestive issues don't need to ban foods, there are certain foods I recommend to minimize: ultra-processed foods and take aways, excessive alcohol, highly refined carbs. I help women to build easy to sustain healthy eating by adding healthy foods and creating healthy eating habits that last, not just restricting "nod good for you" foods.

Why is my digestion getting worse as I get older?

Your digestive juices naturally slow down as you travel through life, making your food digestion slower and often creating discomfort of bloating or cramps. Other things worsening your digestion can include high stress, food intolerances, not drinking enough water, hormonal changes of perimenopause and menopause.  As a nutritionist I can help you find what is making your digestion worse and create a practical support plan to improve your digestion and ease your discomfort.
